The President of the National Agency for Public Procurement (ANAP), Liviu Bostan, together with the members of the SIPOCA 625 project team had an online meeting on Thursday, March 25, 2021, with representatives of the European Investment Bank (EIB), including Sebastian Hyzyk, coordinator for the agreement of technical assistance services for the implementation of the projects.
The discussions focused on the current state of activities carried out with the support of the EIB, within the project ”Support in the implementation of the National Strategy in Public Procurement by strengthening the administrative capacity of ANAP and the contracting authorities (SIPOCA Code 625)”.
We remind you that in 2019 ANAP signed a second technical assistance contract with the European Investment Bank, having as object technical assistance for the establishment of three centralized public procurement units at local level, as well as support in improving the ex-ante control activity carried out by ANAP, as a continuation of the results of the initial agreement.
Both institutions agreed on the need to continue the current partnership in order to achieve the results set out within the project, the common goal being the implementation of high-quality projects, as well as the acceleration of the absorption of European funds.
In this context, the President of ANAP reiterated the commitment of our institution regarding the capitalization of deliverables developed by the EIB, so as to produce an increase in awareness among the parties concerned.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to organize, as soon as possible, a steering committee in which the technical aspects related to the implementation of the project will be discussed.
All details and information about this project can be found on the website of the National Public Procurement Agency, EU Projects / SIPOCA Project 625 section.
